Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Database Vault ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Database Vault provides automated database backup and recovery services. We offer secure cloud storage for database backups, scheduling tools, and recovery capabilities for various database types including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, SQLite, Firebase, and Supabase.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.3 Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason we deem necessary.

4. Service Usage

4.1 Acceptable Use: You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to store, transmit, or process any illegal content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

4.2 Backup Responsibility: While we provide backup services, you are responsible for verifying the integrity and completeness of your backups. We recommend testing your backup restoration procedures regularly.

5. Subscription and Billing

5.1 Subscription Plans: We offer various subscription plans with different features and limitations. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled.

5.2 Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may request a full refund within 15 days of your initial purchase. After this period, fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

5.3 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Your backups will remain accessible for 30 days after cancellation.

6. Data Security and Privacy

We take data security seriously. All backups are encrypted in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how we handle your data.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Database Vault and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DATABASE VAULT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance, updates, or modifications that may temporarily interrupt service. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Database Vault operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
